My Story

My computer science background and innate curiosity fuel the creation of innovative, impactful learning experiences for all industries.

Earning my computer science degree opened the door to many career paths, but it was through hands‑on opportunities at my employer that I discovered a true passion for learning and development.

Drawing on my technical foundation, I quickly excelled in LMS implementation and administration, e‑learning development, and the design of thoughtful learner experiences.

The explosive growth of mobile games and game consoles has been nothing short of inspiring. Witnessing how these interactive experiences captivate millions of players, I realized the potential of gamification in instructional design. By incorporating game-like elements into learning environments, we can significantly enhance learner engagement and satisfaction. This not only makes learning more enjoyable but also fosters a deeper connection to the material, ultimately leading to better outcomes.

My Approach

I understand the impact that thoughtful learning experiences have on learner motivation and engagement and constant collaboration has on the final product,

Having seen the impact of both effective and ineffective training, I understand how well‑designed learning experiences can directly influence employee motivation and performance. My experience with learning management systems and instructional design is strengthened by my technology background, allowing me to approach learning solutions with creativity and strategic insight.

My approach to instructional design centers on partnership, clarity, and thoughtful execution. I begin by listening closely to each client—unpacking their goals, constraints, audience needs, and the real problem they’re trying to solve. From there, we collaborate on the best plan of action, shaping a learning strategy that feels both creative and practical. This early alignment ensures that every decision, from content flow to interaction style, is grounded in what will genuinely move learners forward.

Once the direction is set, I shift into efficient planning and purposeful design. I map out the experience, build with intention, and share progress at each stage so clients always know where things stand. Questions become part of the process—not interruptions—because they help refine the work and keep the project aligned with the client’s vision. The result is a smooth, transparent workflow that leads to learning experiences that are engaging, strategic, and built with care.

Values & Design Principles

Backed by a technology‑driven approach, I meticulously craft content to provide valuable insights that resonate with all learners.

Technology plays a powerful role in modern learning design because it expands what’s possible for both the designer and the learner. At its best, it supports core instructional principles by making learning more interactive, adaptive, and accessible. Digital tools allow designers to create branching scenarios, simulations, and activity‑based experiences that mirror real‑world decision‑making. They also make it easier to personalize learning paths, provide immediate feedback, and track learner progress in meaningful ways. When used intentionally—not as a gimmick but as a strategic enhancer—technology helps transform static content into dynamic, engaging experiences that meet learners where they are and guide them toward where they need to go.

I design, implement, and administer learning management systems and solutions that support the needs of multiple lines of business. With a strong blend of technical skill and instructional insight, I create solutions that streamline training operations and enhance the learner experience. Known for being both resourceful and versatile, I help organizations optimize efficiencies and better leverage their workforce. My goal is to ensure learning ecosystems run smoothly, effectively, and with measurable impact.

A Passion for Performance

Throughout my life, I've been passionate about the unique art of color guard. As a performer my youth and now an instructor at a local high school, this activity has opened countless doors for me. I've had unforgettable experiences, including performing at an Olympic closing ceremony and competing in (and winning!) a national championship. My journey also led me to work as a performer at Disney World, where I learned new skills as a stilt walker and puppeteer.
